LGBTQIA+ Affirming Therapy in CT, NY & NJ
A space where you don’t have to explain or defend who you are
You might be used to wondering:
Is this a Queer safe space?
Will I have to explain my identity… again?
Will they actually understand what I’m carrying?
Therapy shouldn’t feel like that.
I provide LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy for single adults, couples and families across New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey, helping to navigate anxiety, relationships, trauma, sexual identity, gender transitions and the emotional weight that often comes with living in a world that hasn’t always made space for you. This is a space where your identity is not questioned, minimized, or misunderstood—it’s respected and affirmed.
Why LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy matters
Not all therapy is the same.
Even well-meaning therapists can miss:
The daily stress of holding marginalized identity.
The emotional toll of feeling othered without full acceptance.
The complexity of identity exploration
The subtle but constant pressure to adapt and conform to cis heteronormative culture.
LGBTQIA+ Affirming therapy means:
You don’t have to educate your therapist.
Your experiences are understood in context.
Your identity is seen as a strength, not a problem.
Inclusive of all identities
I work with individuals across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, including:
Lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, asexual, demisexual and queer clients
Transgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive individuals
People questioning or exploring their identity
You are welcome exactly as you are.
